kuwentong cinema naman

i was just talking to a friend from San Antonio, Texas
and she told me about the Alamo Drafthouse in Austin (45 minutes away from SA)
www.drafthouse.com
http://www.kordelski.org/drafthouse.html

anyway, what I gathered from her description is that the Alamo Drafthouse is a place where you can watch movies, drink beer, eat your dinner, interact with your fellow patrons and basically have a good time.

this is not the first good review I've heard of the Alamo Drafthouse. I've heard it mentioned again and again in www.aintitcool.com It also played host to both Harry (of aintitcool) and Quentin Tarantino's film festivals.

anyway, this place sounds awesome! and i would love to visit it!

with the Alamo Drafthouse and Angelika's you can see the Austin film culture is very well-developed. It seems like Austin is the new nexus of indie/cult filmmaking (I think Robert Rodriguez is from here). So which means, the nexuses of film development in America are LA up to Sundance (Park City, Utah). New York City. And now Austin, Texas. Woo-hoo!
