Let's NOT vote Binay in 2016! |
Friday, February 22, 2002 now then since I am thoroughly enjoying, my cerebral expulsions, let me continue to type away. I think Fincher is hack compared to the films of Jeunet and Bay. West and Sena are a waste of time, who try to rip-off the propaganda name. only Jonze and Bay and even Moore are truly pulling away and creating their own images and designs. Aronofsky is also a god. Glazer had his own style in his Virtual Insanity MTV, but he sort of lost it in Sexy Beast coz he was trying too hard. Rodriguez is fortunately still on the rise, Scott and Scott (Ridley and Tony) could be on the way down. and so is mctiernan. but blackhawk down showed that R. Scott still had some magic in him. and like rodriguez has shown, you can always make a comeback. Aronofksy got better after Pi. Jonze still has it. Fukasaku surprised us. Miyazaki still continues to surprise us. like in the post below, i use Miyazaki as a prime example of the dude who still has it. no matter how old he is. maybe America focuses on the new, and thus why they are always ahead. and maybe that's why i am not an american. i live on its fringe, where i may take some of the new and some of the old. jeez, who else is up and coming. sam raimi's spiderman looks really promising. panic room looks disappointing but i will watch it anyway. jodie foster rocks! once upon a time in mexico and spy kids 2 looks good. peter jackson seems to have lost it for awhile. but he might get it back. lucas is looking kind of absurd and spielberg is getting corny. bruckheimer is going insane but making lots of money. bay is out of whack, must get him away from bruck. john moore did really well, which is surprising, consider it was a non-starrer, in a tepid plot. but i guess 911 helped just like it helped schwarzenegger. meg ryan is getting corny. mandy moore is getting interesting, surprise! surprise! just like reese making it after 911 with legally blonde. the world still needs chintz (is that the right word?) There are breaks and there is talent. and when you combine them both, you get michael jordan or abe lincoln. i want to be that kind of a guy. the one who changes the world. i love blogger. anyway, any more movies and director? XXX starring Vin Diesel looks promising. Christopher Nolan directing Al Pacino looks promising. gawsh, i wish i had the money to buy entertainment weekly. anyway, tom hanks has a new flick. all movies are starting to look pretty slick. eminem has a new movie with brittany murphy. murphy is starting to look really good. daredevil is moving into the number one spot. superman has been snapped up by McG. charlie's angel's halo looks interesting. cameron diaz is about to hit or has just hit the 20 million dollar mark. i still think mcG is a hack though. jet li, looking good, 10 million dollars a movie. tom cruise is doing a spielberg death march film daw and david fincher a brad pitt, mindanao epic (how apt considering the american know where mindanao is now). zhang yimou should win the oscar next year or the year after that. if it doesn't it will cause an uproar which is great coz it will make us work harder. quark and co are on the rise and so is topel, raymond, quebral and aureaus. what about me? hehehe. yam's movie daw is pretty good. and they same mainstream filipino is on the rise. but we must see. I still need a crusade, ya know =) Milius will do King Conan? Can he still do it? Will Arnold's Crusade be good? What about Terminator 3? A girl Terminator. Jonathan Mostow of U571? I don't think so. It should be Bay, Woo or maybe even Cameron. using hi-tech effects. set in the future, when robots have taken over the earth. or even have a two part movie, wherein one, robots take over the earth and in the next one, 50 years later, robots are destroyed (Wow! What a great series) Aronofsky or Jonze for this? I don't think so. Ang Lee? naaah. now that i've read more, Ang Lee doing the Incredible Hulk might not be that bad =) Hollywood can still surprise us, sometimes. =) Amazing. Continued thrashing. Johnny Knoxville is trying to make it into the mainstream. Kirsten and Tobey will be stars by Spiderman. Braaaaaack! I hope they do better than West and Jolie with Tomb Raider. locally heart ongpauco on the rise. anne c. pffft. nicole h. on the rise. soderbergh? what's next. uh-oh, got distracted by the model watch. anyway, before I embarass myself. move on... =) thanks for reading. if anyone actually did. hehehe =) thanks blogger! =)posted by Joey at 8:27 AM
