Sinequest
136 Iba Street
Sta. Mesa Heights

its amazing where one's love of cinema will take you. yesterday, i just happened to be in the Banaue area, with my barkada Harvey for some business meetings when I realized that we were near the much talked-about video collection of Genandy Que or as it is more popularly known as Sinequest! Khavn told me about this place, and i've been hearing about it before pa, from other film lovers, so I got curious.

Directions:

from Welcome Rotonda, drive straight down Mayon, turn left at Calamba Street and then turn left at Iba Street. Sinequest is located at 136 Iba Street, where you see the large Kodak sign.

so what did I end up borrowing?

I borrowed Martin Scorsese's Trip Through American Cinema. This should be interesting. I'm going to be going back soon, and I'm probably gonna borrow Brothers McMullen, Richard Linklater's Slacker, Children of Heaven, Europa Europa, Federico Felini movies, and maybe even David Lynch's Blue Velvet (I wonder if he has Eraserhead). Basically what I'm getting at, is that Genandy's collection is phenomenal. built up by a labor of love. and every true cinema buff should visit his collection. coz it simply amazing!
