to all those who have never been here
when bombs explode in the philippines, they explode very far away from us
as in thousands of kilometers away
we live in a big country
most of it is relatively peaceful
the chaos is all far down south
sorta like a frontier, or the wild west section of the country

i bring this up coz once i met some south africans, and we got to talking
and they said all the riots you see on tv are in the bad section of the city
or like in israel, all the fighting is in the borders, tel aviv is relatively safe
or in indonesia, the violence was downtown

i guess the point i'd like to make is the news of violence in our countries have been greatly exagerrated, hehehe
but i guess the news has to sell papers
