A change of heart

There was a time when I would rant and rave against the idiocy of movies.

But I have come to the conclusion that we should be happy that we have a more sophisticated taste in films. Other people may let themselves get lost in unintelligent entertainment and mindless fun. Which is their choice. We, on the other hand, will get our kicks from more intelligent stuff.

So the solution is this. Don’t give up on intelligent movies. Continue to be a critic. Buy tickets to intelligent movies. Watch intelligent movies. Order their DVDs off Amazon, etc. Tell all your friends to watch them.

And best of all, write, produce, act and direct intelligent movies. Coz that is the only way we can get better stuff.
