i am thirsty, i am hungry, i am fricking scared, my energy is a-bouncing everywhere. i have too much time on my hands.

ayt, let me write about 2nyt, which was kind of unique, besides planning my showing on saturday, i met a feller from ethiopia and went to a reggae bar on timog. it sounds kind of mundane, but i had a lot fun. let me write first about the bar on timog, its called xamayca or something like that. actually it sounds much cooler. i never enjoyed reggae so much in my life. it probably had a lot to do with the alcohol. very good scene. my conclusion. philippine genre beach music is about to make a breakthrough soon. and i want to be there when it does.

anyway, about the guy from ethiopia. well he was from there. which is kewl enough for me. we had a long discourse about eritrea, western ethiopia (which is now a separate country). french djibouti, which is ethiopia's access to water. and somalia. that place is really confusing. but just like the philippines, its a big place. somethings are happening somewhere which do not affect it in another place. kewl

i talked to the man again today, and get this, he was there when zhang yimou and chen kaige were just discovered in the 1985 Hong Kong Film Festival with Yellow Earth. that is so friggin historic. its like being there when robert rod first directed el mariachi. or, i dunno, discovering the french new wave. they were wearing mao jackets. not speaking a single word of English. and the released Yellow Earth. I have to see that movie.

the man is going to write a book one day. if not an article at least.
