well, i had a good day today. everything went according to plan. by 3 pm i was able to go to juice, get my 14th episode paycheck and my 6 dubbed out tapes (just one more to go). After that, I went to Polo, where I found this new magazine called BlackBook, which is really sulit, coz it really captures the essence of the current state of fashion, art and movies (heck, it nominated 24 hour party people. so it can't be wrong :) ).

Also at Polo this waiter who has been there his whole life, came back. which is a good thing. coz ever since the strike, we lost a lot of good people (but let's not get into that.) After that I went home, ate a little and then went to watch Reign of Fire with Lara. And I must say that it is an awesome movie! no pretensions, hard core action!

it was directed by Rob Bowman, who seems to have directed a lot of X-files episodes, Highwayman episodes, and even Baywatch! (the list goes on, Parker Lewis Can't Lose, 21 Jumpstreet, Macgyver, Star Trek, Quantum Leam, Alien Nation.) All I can say is, a new action movie director is born. Asteeg. Anyway, here's a link to his bio and filmography on imdb.com

awww, dang. it looks like reign of fire didn't make much money. hope rob bowman makes another movie though. and matthew mcconaughey and christian bale were really kewl action stars.

aha, he also directed the X-Files: Fight the Future movie. which i heard wasn't so good. but i'll watch it anyway, to see how much he has grown since then.

and a teen comedy in 1993 called Airborne. starring Seth Green. Which cost 2.6 million dollars to make and it made 2.85 million dollars! hehehe. awww poor seth. good line though... "how often does a once-in-a-lifetime wave come anyway?" hehehe.

i also watched Reign of Fire to see how good CGI is now with dragon SFX, coz if its good enough, they can make a Dragonlance movie. And I think it is good enough na. kul.

anyway after Reign of Fire, i was able to get my suit which i'm wearing on saturday, in a wedding of one of margie's friends. they good people and am happy they got married. :)

the margie =)

anyway, that's all for now.
