I have found another reason to go to Columbia University

Mr. James Schmamus, Ang Lee's writing partner and founder of Focus Features, teaches there.

So that's Mira Nair and James Schamus.

I'm thinking about going to Columbia eventually, just to get a film masters degree and an ivy league level degree na rin.

I could also take summers at NYU.

Columbia is basically the rank of the ivy's. Which is why I would prefer to study there. I get to meet the intelligent people in the other courses and take film. The NYU people are cooler. And I probably do need to beef up on my "coolness" factor, but my old nerd, ivy roots are still too strong.

shet, what if somewhere in the middle of me taking my columbia degree, i shift to NYU? it's possible, considering my traditional wishy-washiness. But if I do take a year and half in Columbia and then another year and a half in NYU, that would be cool.

another note on Columbia. the people here are probably smarter. I mean Brett Ratner went to NYU (though I haven't seen Red Dragon yet). In Columbia they might be pushing the more intelligent film as opposed to the cool film. i'm more predisposed to the former. Hulk for me was genuisistic. I might be watching it again later. It would be kewl if I get close to James Schamus, and eventually Ang Lee. Ha, wishful thinking, but I've done it before. It's just on a global scale now. Do you have the mushu?
