Here I was pissing in a cup, with even more piss dribbling on my fingers.
The man outside said, so you're a filmmaker?
Yes, I said, I guess I was.
Then I held the book he was holding on for me. It was All I Need to Know About Filmmaking I Learned from the Toxic Avenger.
Toxie would've been proud.
hehehe.

Anyway, had my license renewed today. That in itself was a harrowing noteworthy experience. But of course I exagerrate, as everybody who writes a blog should. hehehe.
Anyway, I am reading Lloyd Kaufman's book, All I Need to Know About Filmmaking I learned From the Toxic Avenger. A very good book, which I will add to my evergrowing knowledge of filmmaking.
Like I said earlier, I am now Joey Fernandez, independent film producer extraordinairre. with flourish! I am running at a clip again. After a hiatus, Bobby Bonifacio is back with his much awaited sequel Muling Tumibok Ang Puso. It is now in it's post prod stages, but I'm excited. We will have the first screenings as soon as possible.
Anyway, back to the books. I did read Roger Corman's How I Made a Hundred Movies in Hollywood and Never Lost A Dime before. Also of course I finished Robert Rodriguez's seminal oeuvre Rebel Without A Crew and Harry Knowles Aint it Cool? So I'm ready. I've read other books, which I will list some other time. Lest to say, every book says, just go out and do it. Nobody knows how to do it right. But the best thing is just to go out and do it. The books I've read help egg you forward and give useful hints, but in the end you just have to follow the Nike slogan. hehehe. This is really starting to sound like a blog now. Anyway, you get the point.
Onward Christian soldier! Fuck I suck.
