an economic moment

the philippines has been in a state of austerity
for the last 4 years, since 1997

anyway, today as i was driving around the village
i noticed 3 houses with ostentatious displays of halloween paraphenalia
that they never did before
does that mean that our economy is improving

i don't think so
the world is in an economic slump right now

but if people start having ostentatious displays of wealth again
that means the economy will start whirring again
and the economy will improve again

so my fearless forecast is
buy pesos,
invest in the stock market
our economy is on the upswing, baa-bee!
