art versus indie
indie films are not art films
and art films are not indie films
art films are normally made by big studios
and indie films originally are not
art films tend to be made by old foggies
and indie films are made by young entrepreneurs
both are fun to watch
but do not mistake one for another
one loves MTV
the other hates MTV
art films tend towards the non-straight audience
and indie films tend towards the ultra-energetic and sometimes punk
even in the indie, there are the ultra-violent and there are the ultra-conversation based
in art film there are scenic shots, slow shots, dreary shots
to say one is better than the other would be wrong
but i prefer indie
but an art film can take you away
i would classify crouching tiger under art
as usual, no offense
but this is what i feel is the diff
and never the twain shall meet
or maybe they will
coz the indie/art film audience is really small naman
we all want to see something different
we all want to see something smart
