ode to a movie gone bad.

The movie the Fountain was cancelled today. It seems that one could have been one of the greatest films of this decade, has been cancelled. what a shame. i was really looking forward to this movie. (even though I have read the summary of the script. damn, internet, full of temptation =) ) Imagine

Brad Pitt, Darren Aronfossky, in a movie that would span all time literally. the time of the Spanish conquistadores, the present and the future when humans are able to reach the ends of the universe. it would have been mind-boggling.

After PI and Requiem For A Dream, Aronofsky could be considered among the greatest director's of all time (though in my opinion, Pi fell a bit flat).
