anyway, since my first entry didn't get through, let me write it again.

THE REVOLUTION continues.

Had two really great meetings this "week". last saturday, and yesterday. It was a coven of critics. Yes, I guess coven is the best word, coz we are all little bi--, i mean witches. We are trying to scare the Filipino film industry into making better movies, and I think it's working. My prediction, an Oscar in 5 years. You think I'm kidding? No.

Filipino film culture and culture in general is on the cusp of exploding unto the world scene.

There are around 6 million pinoys abroad, with huge amounts of disposable income. It's just about time the whole world realizes how fun the Philippines is. That we are a party state. And we are nice guys too. Prolly the nicest guys on the whole planet.

Anyway, back to Brash. So we are also launching Brash Young Cinema Pictures or Brash Young Pictures. Our first marque director will be Bobi Bonifacio, who has already started the pre-production of his first film, which we will promote. First short films. And then the world.

I've already talked to Chris and Alexis. And my fourth might be Paolo Villaluna. If he agrees.

Of course my dream is to produce a Quark Henares movie. But that might take some time.

Or a Robert Quebral or an Aureaus Solito, or maybe even a Paolo Aquino.

The independent film scene is in a state of flux. We are ready to take off again. I wonder what it is about July. It must be coz independence day is in June 12.

Hmmm, this is a much better entry than my first one. Maybe blogger doesn't suck after all.
