Gourmet films. The concept of gourmet films hit me just a few days ago. Have you ever noticed that you are willing to pay more for good food, even though the servings may sometimes be even twice as small. Or that you are willing to pay so much for an expensive handbag, when the material used in it, may not be as expensive. This is an example of the gourmet lifestyle. You are willing to pay more, for higher quality or better taste. And since the market is not as big, the connoisseur has no choice but to pay more, for the product to succeed.

Same thing can be applied to films. You have to pay more for quality films. You can pay the usual fare for movies that are the Jolibee’s and McDonalds of filmmaking or you can choose something else. It’s not that the usual Hollywood fare are bad, but sometimes you might want things a little more classy, a little more spicy, with a little more “sauce”.

Hence the concept of gourmet films. Sana it works. Anyway, hope to see you guys this Friday or Saturday, or the Friday after that. Thanks!
