Fuck the Koreans! They are so damn good. Okay, to be honest, I haven't seen many Korean films. What I do like is how they have embraced their cinematic culture. it seems like since 1999, Koreans films have been dominating their box office. Talk about national pride! If only our country could be so lucky.

Movies I want to see

My Sassy Girl
Joint Security Area
My Wife is a Gangster
Friend

non-Korean

Secretary

I just saw Igby Goes Down and it was a hoot. I sincerely liked it.

The string of independent movies that have come out of America in the last 5 years have been extremely delightful. A bit pretentious at times, but fun nonetheless. From to Requiem For A Dream to Safe to Donnie Darko to Wes Anderson's movie. They do deal with the lives of the idle rich or middle class. Good fun. Like I said, if only our country could be so lucky (wink, wink)
