an incomplete thought...
it's interesting to note all these "independent" filmmakers moving into the mainstream.
in short "selling out"
christopher nolan directing batman
bryan singer directing the x-men series
sam raimi directing spiderman
peter jackson directing lord of the rings
alfonso cuaron directing harry potter
but in spite of all that, their mainstream movies do not get any more intelligent. it's like these independent filmmakers are overwhelmed by the bigness of Hollywood.
